Food Saftey Level 1
As someone who works within a food environment, you have a duty to comply with the provisions of Regulation (EC) 852/2004 of the European Parliament on the Hygiene of Foodstuffs, the Food Safety Act 1990, and Food Hygiene (England) Regulations 2005. This requires Food Businesses to ensure that food handlers receive suitable training, instruction and supervision in food hygiene to enable them to handle food safely.
This online training material was designed to introduce the basic principles of food safety and hygiene to anyone who is involved in working in an environment where food may be prepared or stored. This elearning module is ideal for introductory training for those who are new to food hygiene, however we do not recommend this beginner course for professionals who work directly with food preparation or manufacturing.
